“I Like Fruit” Poster Creation in GCompris

GCompris is an educational software suite designed for children 2 to 10. It contains game-based activities with various themes, such as computer discovery, arithmetic, reading, science, geography, games, and more.
In the Windows 7 version, there is an activity where kindergarteners can combine images such as body parts, fruits, transportation, and more with text. Without guidance, they tend to create random creations, which is fine. However, with instructions, they can make a themed poster.
By making a poster, kindergarteners can exercise their fine motor skills, develop reasoning & concept and cognitive skills, and stimulate creativity. The following are the best poster creations that exemplify the three skills made by kindergarteners in the academic year 0f 2023/2024.

Made by Olivia Jane
Made by Anastasia Claudia Hidayat
Made by Verrel Taruna Tarigan
Made by Hanael Luis Haryanto

What stands out in all posters is the balance of the hat, eyes, nose, and mouth position. The arrangement of the fruits is also tidy. Those show the finesse of moving the mouse. Olivia and Taruna show outstanding letter recognition as they can type the poster sentence. The differences in body parts, fruits, colors, and element choices show each child’s imagination and creativity.

We are delighted to present these posters for your exploration and appreciation, offering a glimpse into the current abilities that promise future growth.
